Growing up in Afghanistan and India, some of my favourite memories were the stories, the laughter, the celebrations, and the feeling of belonging.
Years later, after spending over two decades in hospitality, I realised that most non-alcoholic brands focused on replicating gin, whisky, and other alcoholic drinks. Many still contained traces of alcohol.
I believed this category deserved better.
Not a sugary juice pretending to be a cocktail.
But something with an intense and sophisticated flavour profile, crafted with the same care, complexity, and mixology as the finest spirits and cocktails, while remaining true to its own identity.
That belief began a three-year journey of experimentation with mixologists, flavour experts, food scientists, and producers. Countless hours were spent refining recipes, balancing botanicals, and perfecting every detail to create drinks that are 100% alcohol-free, halal-friendly, vegan, gluten-free, made from natural ingredients, and crafted without compromise.
The result was Afsana.
Afsana is not trying to be the next non-alcoholic gin or whisky. It is a category of its own built around flavour, inspired by ancient stories, crafted with natural ingredients, and created for people who appreciate exceptional taste, quality, and meaningful experiences.
